Deine Aufgaben

Als Head of Software Engineering (m/w/d) übernimmst du die disziplinarische und strategische Leitung eines Software-Engineering-Teams. Dabei geht es nicht nur um Management – du gibst klare Orientierung, coachst, gibst Feedback und baust eine Engineering-Kultur auf, in der Code-Qualität, technologische Exzellenz und kontinuierliche Verbesserung nicht nur Buzzwords sind, sondern gelebte Praxis.

Leadership mit Impact – Du führst dein Team mit Vision, Klarheit und einem hohen Maß an technischer Expertise. Ob 1:1-Gespräche, Mentoring oder Team-Workshops – du förderst deine Mitarbeitenden und sorgst für eine inspirierende, leistungsstarke Arbeitsumgebung.

Strategie & Innovation – Gemeinsam mit deinem Team entwickelst du moderne Softwarelösungen und setzt die technischen Leitplanken für nachhaltige Innovation. Du hältst den Tech-Radar hoch, identifizierst Trends und treibst technologische Weiterentwicklungen aktiv voran.

Engineering Excellence – Qualität und Effizienz sind für dich kein Widerspruch, sondern Grundvoraussetzung. Ob Clean Code, CI/CD, Testautomatisierung oder skalierbare Architekturen – du stellst sicher, dass unser Engineering-Bereich hochperformant bleibt und kontinuierlich wächst.

Dein Profil

Du hast ein abgeschlossenes Studium in Informatik, Ingenieurwesen oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation und bringst mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Führung und Skalierung von Entwicklungsteams mit. Moderne Softwareentwicklungsprozesse, agile Methoden und Clean-Code-Prinzipien sind dir vertraut, und du verfügst über fundiertes Wissen im SAP-Umfeld.
Mit deinem strategischen Denken und starken Kommunikationsfähigkeiten begeisterst du dein Team und vermittelst auch komplexe technische Zusammenhänge verständlich. Du hast Erfahrung in der Budgetplanung und -verantwortung und vereinst technologische mit geschäftlichen Anforderungen.
Fließende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse sowie eine ausgeprägte Neugierde und Innovationsfreude runden dein Profil ab – denn du willst nicht nur verwalten, sondern aktiv gestalten.

Your mission

As Head of Software Engineering (m/f/d), you will assume both disciplinary and strategic leadership of a software engineering team. Your role extends beyond management – you will provide clear guidance, foster professional growth, deliver constructive feedback, and cultivate an engineering culture in which code quality, technological excellence, and continuous improvement are integral to daily operations.

Effective Leadership – You will guide your team with vision, clarity, and a high level of technical expertise. Through one-on-one meetings, mentoring, and team workshops, you will support your employees and create an inspiring and high-performing work environment.
Strategic Development & Innovation – In collaboration with your team, you will develop cutting-edge software solutions and define the technological framework for sustainable innovation. You will proactively monitor technological trends, identify relevant developments, and drive the continuous advancement of our solutions.
Engineering Excellence – You will ensure that quality and efficiency are not mutually exclusive but fundamental principles. Whether it concerns clean code, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, or scalable architectures, you will maintain and enhance the high-performance standards of our engineering division.

Your profile

A degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, along with extensive experience in leading and scaling software development teams.
Comprehensive knowledge of modern software development processes, agile methodologies, and clean-code principles, as well as a strong technical background in SAP.
A strategic mindset combined with excellent communication skills, enabling you to inspire your team and articulate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
Experience in budget planning and management, ensuring a balance between technological and business requirements.
Fluency in German and English, along with a strong commitment to continuous learning and innovation.
